How is a shared work space different from a traditional office?
Enerspace is a shared office space with locations in Chicago’s West Loop and Palo Alto, CA . At Enerspace, you get an urban, hip, inspiring and at the same time completely professional office environment included in one low monthly fee – charged per person per month.
You just show up to work and enjoy the community of diverse professionals that work at Enerspace. We take care of providing a beautiful, high-design, furnished workspace so that you can focus on doing your best work. You will not need to hire an office staff, pay for altering office space, sign a fixed length office lease, provide office furniture, buy or rent office equipment, etc. We take care of it and make it as easy as possible for you.
What services are offered at a shared work space?
We want our pricing to be simple and predictable. Your monthly fee (depending on the type of space you rent) includes basic services such as a monthly allotment of printing and conference room use.
What are the terms of the license agreement at Enerspace? How quickly can I expand or reduce space, or leave Enerspace altogether?
One of the basic benefits of shared office space is flexibility. Therefore, all our license agreements are month-to-month. You need to give us just 30 days notice to end your agreement with us. You may terminated your license on the 15th or last day of any month with a minimum of 30 days notice.
In addition, you can easily add shared office space (based on availability) any time you want, virtually immediately. If you run a seasonal business or need to reduce your space, you can do that as well, following the same terms as the license termination above (30 days notice). At Enerspace, you only pay for the space you need.
Furthermore, we have a standard, easy to read and easy to understand membership agreement to sign up for space. Standard commercial office space can require months of time and thousands of dollars spent on attorney reviews of your lease.
Do you have shared office space available or just workstations?
We offer several private offices that have closed doors and a closed off ceiling. Our offices are varied in size and seat from 1 to 6 people. Our semi-private workstations offer a more defined, private, designated workspace with a view of the full Chicago skyline. In addition, we have private booths for those top-secret phone conversations, as well as two conference rooms available for meetings.
When can I get started?
Another benefit of shared office space is that typically you can walk in and get started in as little as 15 minutes, and pay using your favorite credit card.
Can I choose my office configuration?
Enerspace is designed for modularity and flexibility to meet your needs. When you sign up, we’ll do a review of your needs and the space configurations available and determine the best layout and location for you (and your team!)
What else do you offer?
Enerspace knows that first and foremost, you’re looking for an inspiring, productive place to work where you’re surrounded by other professionals. In addition to making sure those basic needs are met, Enerspace is also committed to supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners through member events, network events and professional development events.
And then there’s the health and wellness component. Enerspace is passionate about a culture of health and wellness for both mind and body. Access to the fitness studio, shower, changing rooms, free yoga and cardio classes help you work well.
Can I meet with clients at a shared workspace?
Of course! We have two beautiful conference rooms perfect for meeting with clients. The largest meeting room seats 8 and has a screen and projector for presentations. The smaller conference room seats 6 and has an HDTV for presentations. Calendars are kept at each for easily reserving a room. You can book a room up to a week out if needed. Clients who join you for meetings only do not have to pay a drop-in rate. However, if they’d like to stay and work with you all day, please have them sign in. Their visit can be billed directly to your account if you wish.
Are you open nights and weekends?
Our full time members have 24/7 access to the space, and are welcome to work any hours that they’d like. Drop-in guests can access our space during our staffed office hours: Monday thru Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
