Yoga Beginnings: Yoga for Runners with Sarah Sandusky (Chicago)

Sarah will be teaching a 75-min yoga for runners class. Sarah will focus on strengthening and stretching the legs and also working on the lower back and core. Runners and non-runners are welcome! Please bring a towel – we will use it for stretching! 100% of the proceeds from Sarah’s class will go to PAWS Chicago!
Sarah has been an avid runner since 2001. She has completed four marathons and will be running the Chicago Marathon in October, 2014. Sarah found yoga in 2008, initially practicing in the Bikram tradition. She then expanded into other styles, mainly vinyasa. Sarah is a RYT-200 and completed her teacher training at the Chicago School of Yoga under the tutelage of Lucia Cordeiro Drever. Sarah currently teaches vinyasa and yoga sculpt classes at the Chicago School of Yoga. In addition to running, Sarah loves all aspects of fitness and is currently studying to become a certified personal trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). During the day, Sarah is a tax attorney. She also is a flautist.
Sarah’s chosen charity is PAWS Chicago. All funds from her class will go to PAWS Chicago. She is running the Chicago Marathon for PAWS. Sarah is a huge animal lover. She also recently lost her beloved family dog, Scout, and is running in memory of her. PAWS Chicago is a no-kill animal shelter and does amazing things for homeless pets.
