Heather Hernandez

What neighborhood do you live in? Mountain View, CA

Why did you decide to join a coworking space? I accepted an opportunity to work with Seeker Health and the team had already joined this space. When interviewing with Seeker Health, I was delighted by the bright colors, inspirational messages on the wall and the start-up community environment of this coworking space.

What do you do for work? I am passionate about developing health solutions. I work with the Seeker Health team to connect patients to Clinical Trials and help companies complete research more quickly. Accelerating medical research saves companies time & money; helps caregivers and patients connect with appropriate treatment options; leads to more efficient disease insights; and helps increase innovation in healthcare treatments.

What do you do for fun when you’re not working out of a coworking space? I love to read. I read a book a month and I have read 60 books over the past 5 years. Let me know if you ever need a book rec!

What’s one thing about you we’d never learn just by chatting you up at the coffee bar? That’s tough–cause you would probably figure out that I’m obsessed with coffee since we’re at a coffee bar. Perhaps you wouldn’t know that I’m a podcast nerd and I listen daily. My favorites are “How I Built This”, “Ted Radio Hour” and “HBR Ideacast”.

What do you do to keep yourself balanced? I run marathons and play volleyball.

How has your business benefited from being in a coworking space? As an extrovert, I appreciate the buzz of a big space with lots of folks working, while also enjoying a private space so I can work in a focused manner with my small team. I’m looking forward to further connecting with folks who share this space and exchanging ideas.
