Palo Alto coworking member interview with Sarah Griisser

What area of the bay do you live in?
Belmont, California

Palo Alto Coworking
Why did you decide to join a coworking space?
I work remotely for a company and did this out of my spare bedroom for about 8 months. After realizing that I was driving my poor boyfriend crazy when he got home because I hadn’t seen another human all day, I knew that I needed to find a way to be around other people while doing my job. Coworking has been the perfect solution
What do you do for work?
I work as the Senior Client Account Manager for an Internet marketing company.

HudsonWhat do you do for fun?I just got a puppy, so I do a lot of chasing him around. I also love getting outdoors, being active, seeing live music and visiting with friends.

What’s one thing about you we’d never learn just by chatting you up at the coffee bar?
I’m the only person with my name in the whole United States! My grandfather’s family moved to the states when he was a young child, and we’re the only Griisser family in the country.
What do you do to keep yourself balanced?
I am very protective over my “alone” time, and have been known to turn off my cell phone for days on end. I’m a licensed yoga teacher, so I do a lot of yoga to keep myself centered, and I also watch a lot of “Toddlers and Tiaras” to remind myself that I’m not the craziest person out there.
How has your business benefitted from being in a coworking space?
Strangely I’ve found that being around other people keeps me on task and focused on my work. When I was at home I would get distracted by household chores, and there is no doing laundry at a coworking space. I also like that I can bounce ideas off of other people in the space!
